BMC Software Upgrades

BMC Software Upgrades

Like any enterprise systems, Remedy and Remedyforce will need to be upgraded to the next version from time to time.  The two key challenges will always be customisations and system data, particularly in-flight data, such as open tickets still running through their SLA and with relationships and attachments.

AiM has successfully managed Remedy and Remedyforce upgrades to some very complex customers, who cannot afford to take any risk and have a very small window to execute the upgrade.  To de-risk an upgrade and to guarantee success, AiM uses a combination of expert project control and dress-rehearsals, Remedy and technical skills, all combined with some leading edge tools, to plan, execute and support early life of an upgrade.  The modern design of Remedy using overlays means that upgrades to bespoke code are very straightforward.  Meanwhile, AiM uses leading-edge, tried and trusted tools to migrate data successfully.  The most telling comment came from a global customer last year for whom we had only a 24 hour window for a major Remedy upgrade, who said I couldn’t believe it, I came in on Monday and everything on Remedy just worked – perfectly.
