Wireless networks - or WiFis as they are also known—connect computers like traditional networks except they communicate via radio waves rather than by physical cables. Wireless networking is suitable for any size and type of organisation.
So long as equipment is in range of a WiFi access point (transmitter/receiver) PCs, laptops, PDAs, mobile telephones can be located anywhere, making the solution ideal for businesses and schools where users need to move around to work internally or it is difficult to install physical cabling. The latter is particularly true in many older buildings which were never designed to have cabling installed.

Wireless networks complement the use of cabled computers and can be easily integrated into standard server networks such as our SME Business Server Solution and our School Business Server Solution. They are particularly cost-effective where high bandwidth data or voice communications are required and are very secure.
