 How clean are your keyboards and mice?
Research shows that the level of contamination on ICT keyboards and mice can be up to 14 times higher than a toilet seat if not cleaned regularly!
People are the most important asset in any organisation and as such there is a duty of care to them. Bugs and super bugs can be spread in the workplace through poor hygiene, with ICT equipment being a major source of contamination. And the risk can be increased where equipment is regularly shared by a number of different people - such as in schools, public facilities like libraries, internet cafes, health-care facilities and offices where desk-sharing is used.
ICT equipment therefore needs to be kept clean and dirt free to reduce the risk from harmful germs.
Our Bio-Clean Service involves an environmentally friendly, hygienic treatment of ICT keyboards and mice to remove the particulates which become lodged and then a clean of the surfaces and difficult to get at areas with anti-bacterial solutions. No damage to the equipment. We normally recommend this is done once a month to reduce any build-up of harmful germs. We can also clean all your other ICT equipment and telephones to a similar standard. As part of the service we will advise on the best ways to to maintain cleanliness.
We also provide special ant-bacterial wipes for keyboards and mice located at each workstation that can be used on a self-service basis by users each time they sit down to use a shared computer keyboard and mouse.
Finally, we also supply "Germ-Stopper" medical grade washable keyboards and mice.
