Executive & Strategy

The senior team in any organisation is the group of people who are responsible for taking taking executive actions, setting policy and defining strategy.  In other words leading and directing the organisation in the delivery of its vision and mission.

For a company with a board of directors there may also be non-executive directors - highly experienced, independent people whose role it is to scrutinise and check the executive on behalf of stakeholders (including shareholders where relevant).  In other words to make corporate governance and executive accountability as robust as possible.

Any gaps in the senior team line-up can have serious consequences for the running of an organisation, which means they must be filled as quickly as possible.  Interim managers come into their own if a suitable full time resource cannot be found quickly.  Interims are also useful for steering organisations through contentious business change, allowing difficult decisions to be taken without lasting reputational damage, as the interim can withdraw upon completion of the change.

AiM can provide interim senior team resources with different industry experiences to fill executive roles, such as:

  • Chief executive office
  • Chief finance officer
  • Chief operations officer
  • Chief information officer.

We can also provide interim non-executive director roles, normally chartered directors.

Strategy represents the high level plans that an organisation has set itself to achieve in line with its vision and mission.  Strategies cover all aspects of organisation and operational activity and define 'how business' will be delivered against 'what business' set down within policies.

Our interim strategists are experts at creating and articulating strategy statements, business cases and implementation plans, as well as creating or revising policy so they are fit for purpose within the organisation.
