Our Approach to Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

We apply a modular 8-point model which takes a formal yet pragmatic risk and scenario based approach to business continuity management, ensuring that planning effort and solutions are commensurate with the organisation and its level of exposure.

Our interim management practitioners deliver our solution as three phases:

Phase 1: Setting Priorities

A risk-based approach is taken to setting priorities.  A business impact analysis (BIA) is made to assess mission critical activites, key data, processes and people.  Whilst a risk assessment (RA) is used to quantify threats and vulnerabilities. Once an organisation’s operational priorities are established, then cost-effective action can be proposed.

Phase 2: Producing Plans

This involves determining how the organisation will respond to incidents and crises, and capturing this information in a series of plans which together form the crisis manual.

This phase will also involve the implementation of disaster recovery solutions as well as the initial integrated rehearsal of plans.

Phase 3: Maintenance

This phase involves plans moving into the organisation for ongoing maintenance, review, update and re-rehearsal.
